it runs SLOWWW, and all these pop-ups come up, and i have pop-up blocker, spy ware and active X, but nothing is helping the problem, i dont know how to run a de-bugging system, how do you?

I’m not sure if spyware works a little differant than viruses where maybe you have to scan within it’s operating system to find all the files.
I’ve tried scanning on my own computer but it freezes at a specific point. I’m pretty sure it’s the spyware doing that because it freezes at a specific folder called Zaba or something like that

Yes but you have to do them manually, most of the free versions won’t have automatic updates save for two:

I have had major problems with spyware/viruses since yesterday late afternoon.

I have since updated my macfee antivirus and checked for viruses deleting some unwanted items. I have gone though my settings and increased my security, deleted/stopped cookies, stopped mirosoft messenger. I have installed yahoo toolbar with anti-spy and pop up blocker. I have installed free spybot.

All seems fine now as I was getting lots of warning and advert pop ups telling me to buy software. I do not have any pop ups now.

I read that if you do not ‘buy’ an anti-spy software and you use free software you should use two free ones rather than one so it is more cover. Is yahoo anti-spy and spybot enough or should I get something else.

Could there still be a hidden problem, as the warnings started yesterday evening and I had to go on line and generally use the pc to fix the problem today could someone already have private info on me? One warning did give me IP number of someone??

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

I am trying to get rid of everything earthlink and This total access care thing won’t let me because of certain things are in use. Like the popup blocker and the spyware wich is no ware to be found!

gO to START then CONTROL PANEL look for ADD oR REMOVE is mostly the third one and just look for the earthlink thing anD UNINSTALL it
