Each offered an explanation as well as View History and Manage Exclusions controls. The Settings tab also offered nine sections, everything from Global Action List to Scheduled Tasks and Quarantine. A Report Card tab brought up a quick-and-easy summary of our PC’s security situation and PC Tools’ recent activities. Of course, we could click a prominent Upgrade button any time we felt like trying the premium version.

Quick Guide to remove nasty virus — Privacy Protection Spyware for Free.

Windows 7 Computer was infected with the Privacy Protection Spyware virus. It quickly shut down all programs I was running and closed my internet browsers. It claims to find infections and security risks on your computer and you can get it removed by paying a fee.

This spyware program would not allow me to run Task Manager, Run MS Config, or run a Spyware Removal Tool I had on the Desktop.

Rebooting in Safe Mode or Safe Mode Networking by hitting F8 did not work since my Windows 7 computer would hang up. Letting it run uninterrupted for about 10 minutes would bring it back to normal boot up.

You will need to get a free copy of the latest version of M a l w a r e bytes from download.com and save it to a flash drive so you can open it up on your infected computer.

The only way to stop the Privacy Protection program from running is to hit in Windows 7: Start and in the Command Line type the command found in the video Once the Spyware program stops running, go to your computer to run the downloaded file and let it perform a full scan on all your drives to fully remove any spyware.

I recommend you DO NOT GO TO THIS SITE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO CRASH YOUR COMPUTER OR ARE ON VM(Virtual PC). In this video I show you what the rogue does, and what it can do. False Positives, Fake Alerts (A Screamer in the Adware Alert), A Live Indian Chatroom (People can’t get arrested), Corrupts all Legimate Antivirus/Antispyware Programs, and Fake website. Also, there is a misleading bar graph with no accurate #s on the website, and you can waste your money on some solive snake oil for $49,950.00! How wonderful is that.

Webroot stops the beginning (scanning), but may or may not stop when it is on your computer. This hasn’t been tested with Webroot.
